The Builder · § IV · Est. 2019

Built by one pair
of hands.

David Serrano started Aries in 2019 after a decade in Atlanta framing crews — because the trade needed a shop that treated a backyard deck the same way it would treat a bridge.

A note from David

"We believe your backyard should be your favorite place to be."

— David Serrano · Founder

Our story

More than boards and posts.

At Aries Outdoor Living, we don't see a deck as a collection of boards and posts. We see it as the place where families gather on summer evenings, where children play, where friends spend hours around a fire, and where quiet mornings begin with a cup of coffee overlooking the backyard.

That's why every project starts with understanding how you want to live — not just what you want to build.

Whether it's a custom deck, screened porch, covered patio, pergola, or complete outdoor living space, our goal is to create something that feels like it was always meant to be part of your home.

The philosophy

Four things we believe.

The convictions that shape every project — from the first conversation to the final walkthrough.

  1. 01

    Built With Purpose

We're not interested in building the fastest deck.

We're interested in building one you'll be proud of for years.

Every project is carefully planned, built to current code, and constructed with materials we believe in. From proper foundations and structural framing to the smallest finishing details, quality isn't something you see only when the project is finished — it's built into every step along the way.

Because when something is built correctly, you don't have to think about it. You simply enjoy it.

  2. 02

    Design Comes Before Construction

The best outdoor spaces don't happen by accident.

They happen because someone took the time to understand the property, the views, the way sunlight moves through the yard, how you'll use the space, and what matters most to your family.

Before construction begins, we help homeowners explore ideas, compare materials, discuss layouts, and visualize the finished project so decisions are made with confidence — not guesswork.

Thoughtful planning creates better projects, fewer surprises, and outdoor spaces that truly fit the home.

  3. 03

    A Personal Experience

You're not handed off to a salesperson you've never met.

David personally works with homeowners throughout the process — from the initial consultation and design discussions to project planning and final walkthroughs.

Communication matters just as much as craftsmanship. Questions deserve honest answers, expectations should always be clear, and homeowners should feel confident throughout the entire process.

  4. 04

    Always Moving Forward

    Improvement never stops.

We're constantly refining our designs, learning better building methods, investing in new technology, and finding better ways to serve our clients.

Our vision extends beyond simply building decks. We're building a company focused on thoughtful outdoor design, exceptional craftsmanship, and creating spaces that people genuinely love spending time in.

Because in the end, we're not just building structures. We're creating places where life happens.

From David

"I've always been fascinated by the outdoors. Whether I'm hiking, exploring nature, or studying how landscapes fit together, I've always believed the best outdoor spaces invite people to slow down and enjoy where they are.

That same curiosity shapes every project we build. Every home, every yard, and every family is different, and we believe every outdoor space should reflect that."
